The shortlisted stories from over 74,000 entries for BBC's 500 Words short story competition can be read by clicking here, and the overall winner will be announced live on the Chris Evans radio show tomorrow morning.

National Flash Fiction Day

It's National Flash Fiction Day on Wednesday 16th May, which celebrates the art of the ultra short story. For examples of the art check out the official page here. For a guide on writing your own flash fiction, have a look at the hints and tips in today's newspaper.

Carnegie in the Hub

The 8 shortlisted books for the Carnegie Medal have arrived, and can be read either in print or on a Kindle. Would you like to sign up to the Hub's Carnegie Medal shadowing group?
